Gary, Ind. - IU Northwest men's basketball hosted the Olivet Nazarene Tigers on Saturday looking to improve the résumé and standing in the conference to make a postseason push towards the conference tournament. The RedHawks were shorthanded missing three starters, however, battled throughout the game to keep it within striking distance.

The RedHawks trailed by as many as 29 points midway through the second half before fighting back to give themselves an opportunity late in regulation before eventually falling 82-70 as the Tigers held off a late IUN rally.

Lamarius Lillard led IUN with a game high 17 points with 6 rebounds while
Malik Miller recorded a season high 16 points and freshman
Ladaion Barnes posted a career high 15 points.

IU Northwest shot just 38% from the floor and 30% from long range. Meanwhile ONU connected on 46% from the floor and 21% from three.

With the setback IU Northwest fell to 7-12 overall, however still has a 6-5 record in CCAC conference play and remains in 7
th place in their quest for a fourth straight CCAC conference tournament appearance.
