REDHAWKS CRUISE TO WIN WITH PROGRAM RECORD TEN GOALS

Crown Point, Ind. - IU Northwest  found the net early and often as they cruised to a 10-0 victory over the visiting Moody Bible Archers on Tuesday night at the Sportsplex in Crown Point, Ind.. The ten goals set a new program record for goals in a match as the RedHawks (2-1) earned their second consecutive victory.

IU Northwest controlled the match from the onset and dominated the shots on goal with an astounding 42-2 advantage.  The RedHawks saw four different player score twice including Gianni RamirezVitaliy Prots, Francisco Torres and Avione Lane. Torres is already up to six goals through the first three matches of the season.  Prots got IU Northwest on the board early just five minutes into the match off a great feed by Cameron Starks. Tyler Davis and Martin Palma also found the net in the seocnd half for the RedHawks. IU Northwest goals were assisted by Lane with two, Starks, Bixeman, Davis, Zamudio, Torres and Prots.

RedHawks goal keeper Jared Hecimovich recorded hist first career shutout.

Coach's Perspective
"The guys are improving each time out and it was good to see us come out with energy today after having training cancelled due to weather the previous day," said IU Northwest Interim Head Coach Ryan Shelton. "Improving is critical with the conference schedule rapidly appraoching."

Next Up:
The RedHawks (2-1) look to make it three straight when they wrap up the non-conference slate when they host the Andrews Cardinals next Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the SportsPlex in Crown Point, Ind. for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
