Box Score Crown Point, Ind. - IU Northwest women's soccer kicked off their 2022 campaign on Saturday and also marked their debut under new head coach
Jamie McNicholas as they battled Park University (AZ) to a 1-1 draw. New NAIA rules no longer include overtime for the regular season.

Kayla Ziel put IUN o the board early on a strike at the 17:15 mark to put IUN ahead 1-0.
Brynn Nylin assited on the RedHawks goal. Both teams eaqualed each other with 10 total shots for the match as RedHawks freshman goal keeper Isabele Escalera turned away three Buccaneers shots. Park did square the match 1-1 with an early second half goal leass than five minutes into the second half when Carmen Kiewert slipped passed the RedHawk defense. Both teams also attempted four corner kicks each.
