GAME RECAP
IU South Bend started the game with a three-pointer then IU Northwest responded with a layup by Marshaud Watkins. Both teams would trade leads and ties for the next few baskets.
The score was tied 13-all after Watkins knocked down a three-pointer then IUSB scored five straight then Watkins hit another triple. A few moments later, Jerron Tatum cut it down to one (20-19) then the Titans scored nine unanswered points to go up 29-19.
The RedHawks closed out the first half on a 10-4 run after Jared Johnson made back-to-back three-pointers. IUSB went into the break ahead 33-29.
IUSB started out the second half ahead 40-33 then VaShawn Sims was able to respond with a three-pointer. That three-pointer sparked a 14-0 outburst by the RedHawks capped off by a tip-in by Tromon Weston and a layup by Sims.
The Titans responded with six straight of their own to cut it back down to one (47-46) with 12:07 to go. Sims was able to catch and shoot for a three-pointer for the response.
IUSB responded with 13 straight points to go up 59-55 with 6:40 to go in the game. Brian Hernandez was able to stop the RedHawks scoring drought with a layup.
Moments later, Johnson nailed a three-pointer and a made a layup to give the RedHawks a 62-61 lead with 4:26 left in the game. Both teams would trade baskets after Watkins gave IU Northwest a 69-65 lead with two minutes left.
IU Northwest would not score the rest of the game. IU South Bend would hit a three-pointer with 57 seconds left to make it 69-68 RedHawks.
IUSB had plently of fouls to give at the end so the Titans kept fouling to keep the clock stopped. Johnson went to the line for one plus the bonus but missed the front end and IU South Bend's shot at the buzzer fell short with the RedHawks winning 69-68.

IU Northwest will be back in action Saturday, February 19 as the RedHawks wrap up the regular season on the road against St. Francis (Ill.) scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
