Box Score Gary, Ind. - In a tale of two halves IU Northwest men's basketball was unable to sustain their energy in the final 20 minutes on Saturday versus rival IU South Bend and felt the titans by final score of 84-69.
 
Well played first half by the RedHawks saw them take a double-digit lead to the half at 44-34 while shooting 54%. The second half however was a different story as the Titan shot a blistering 55% while limiting a IU Northwest to just 28% shooting in the final 20 minutes.
 
A crisp Titan offense particularly in the second half saw them limit their turnovers to just six for the entire game all totaling 17 assists as the Titans doubled up the RedHawks 50-25 in the second half. Dejon Barney dominated the second half for the Titans by finishing with a team high 26 points on an efficient 11-15 shooting.
 
Jared Johnson led all scorers on 10-20 from the field and Isaac Stanback and Von Lillard both reached double figures, however the RedHawks received just 8 points and three field goals off the bench. Malik Miller 6 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. IU Northwest shot 41% for the game and 28% from three (6-21).
 
With the setback RedHawks fell to 4-2 on the CCAC and 4-7.
