Box Score LINCOLN, Ill. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's soccer team used a balanced team effort as the RedHawks recorded their first ever shutout in program history with a 7-0 victory on the road against Lincoln Christian Monday.

HALF BREAKDOWN
FIRST HALF: IU Northwest 3, Lincoln Christian 0
- Lincoln Christian looked to strike first in the opening minutes but Kelly Shaffer was right there for the save.
- MacKenzie Rainwater went on the attack moments later but LCU's goalie recorded the save.
- Janice Oprisko broke the 0-0 tie in the 29th minute after Rainwater found her to give the RedHawks a 1-0 lead.
- Marisa Paredes passed to Oprisko, who then passed it into Cicily Porter, who found the back of the net to make it 2-0.
- Vargas scored right before the half in the 44th minute after finding the back of the net to make it 3-0 after receiving the ball from Aahliyah Moreno.
- Kelly Shaffer recorded three saves in the first half.
SECOND HALF: IU Northwest 4, Lincoln Christian 0
- Vargas opened up the second half the same way she ended the first and that was with a goal to extend the lead to 4-0.
- Rainwater looked to break through but her shot was saved in the 47th minute.
- IU Northwest made it 5-0 after Shaffer found the back of the net in the 71st minute. Shaffer played the field in the second half after being in goal during the first half.
- Not too long later, Jenna Dye made it 6-0 in the 72nd minute.
- Shaffer was not done as the freshman scored her second goal in as many minutes to extend the lead to 7-0.
- Hayley Maze started the second half and recorded a clean sheet in goal and picking up a save.
FINAL SCORE: IU Northwest 7, Lincoln Christian 0
