FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's soccer team dropped their season opener against Indiana Tech Saturday.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half (Indiana Tech 4, IU Northwest 0)

• Indiana Tech scored first after scoring the opening goal in the 12th minute. 
• Kelly Shaffer went on the attack and looked to tie it but her shot was saved in the 23rd minute. 
• The Warriors doubled their lead in the 32nd minute after finding the back of the net to make it 2-0.
• A few minutes later, Indiana Tech expanded their lead to 3-0 after scoring a goal in the 35th minute.
• MacKenzie Rainwater looked to put the RedHawks on the scoreboard after she went on the attack but Indiana Tech was right there with the save.
• Indiana Tech scored in the 38th minute to make it 4-0 as that score would hold until halftime.

Second Half (Indiana Tech 2, IU Northwest 0)

• Shaffer had another attacking attempt in the 47th minute but her shot was saved by the goalkeeper. 
• The Warriors made it 5-0 after making a goal in the 50th minute.
• Indiana Tech extended it to 6-0 after picking up a goal in the 78th minute.
