GAME RECAP
IU Northwest went up 8-3 in the early stages including five points from Brian Hernandez. IUSB fought back and made a 9-0 run to go ahead 12-8 with 15:03 in the first half.
Tromon Weston made a dunk then Marshaud Watkins made a three-pointer to make it 13-12 in favor of the RedHawks. The Titans responded with a bucket before Watkins made another three extending the lead to 16-14 at the 12:38 mark in the first half.
IUSB went on a 14-6 run the next seven minutes to pull ahead 28-22. IU Northwest fought back after a three-pointer by Watkins then layups by Jared Johnson and Watkins to give the RedHawks a 29-28 lead.
Ryan LaFollette made a basket to make it 31-30 with 2:19 left before the break. The Titans scored the last five points of the half to go into the break ahead 35-31.
Hernandez started the second half with a layup. IUSB was ahead 41-39 with 15:58 left in the game then Larry Lynch gave the RedHawks a 42-41 lead with a three-pointer.
It was tied 44-44 with 14:14 left in the contest before the RedHawks scored the next five points capped off by a three-pointer by Jerron Tatum. IUSB fought back before Hernandez hit a three-pointer to make it 52-48 with 10:40 remaining in the game.
The Titans scored went on a 9-2 run to go ahead 57-54. Watkins converted an and-one with 5:39 left in the game to tie the game at 57-all.
IUSB scored nine unanswered points for a 66-57 lead with 2:13 left. Hernandez hit a three to make it 66-60 and that score would hold with the Titans winning.
