HALF BREAKDOWN
FIRST HALF: Trinity Christian 5, IU Northwest 0
- Trinity Christian struck first in the 10th minute as Selah Hopkins received the corner kick from Jade Maldonado.
- The Trolls wasted no time, on their next possession Katie Drenth made it 2-0 after making a goal in the 12th minute.
- Brianna Uhl was able to make it 3-0 TCC after finding the back of the net in the 15th minute.
- Hopkins recorded her second goal of the match in the 18th minute to make it 4-0.
- Carissa Urra went on the attack in the 24th minute for IU Northwest and got off a shot but it was blocked.
- Hopkins was able to record her hat trick all in the first half, picking up her third goal in the 27th minute which extended the lead to 5-0.
- Mackenzie Rooke recorded two saves in the opening half.
SECOND HALF: Trinity Christian 3, IU Northwest 0
- Demi Schibetta made it 6-0 after she collected the rebound off Katie Drenth's shot in the 53rd minute.
- Uhl picked up her second goal of the game in the 62nd minute which expanded the lead to 7-0.
- Autumn Bergemann made it 8-0 after scoring on a penalty kick in the 68th minute.
- Jenna Dye looked to get the RedHawks on the scoreboard but her shot in the 79th minute was saved.
- Rooke picked up three more saves in the second half.
FINAL SCORE: Trinity Christian 8, IU Northwest 0
