Box Score Milwaukee, Wis. -- The Indiana University Northwest men's basketball team used an all-around team effort with four starters reaching double figures as the RedHawks defeated Cardinal Stritch Saturday. The RedHawks (12-8, 8-4 CCAC) defeated the Wolves (8-11, 3-9 CCAC), 79-64, at Panela Court inside the Stritch FieldHouse Saturday.
IUN led 11-2 in the first five minutes of the game after a basket by Rashad Richardson (Lafayette, Ind./Lafayette Jeff). Stritch tried to crawl back into the game after outscoring IUN 7-2 the next two and a half minutes to make it 13-9 RedHawks. 
Marshaud Watkins (Harvey, Ill.) hit a three-pointer to give the RedHawks an 18-11 lead. Stritch came back and tied the score at 18-all after scoring the next seven points.  
Both teams traded the next seven points back-and-forth as the score was tied 25-all. Stritch took a short 27-25 lead then Martellian Gibson (Rantoul, Ill.) nailed a three-pointer to give IUN a 28-27 lead with under three minutes to play.
Chris Robinson (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) ended the half with a basket to put the RedHawks up 30-27 at the break.
Cardinal Stritch made it 45-43 IUN with 13:04 remaining in the contest after a three-pointer. After that, the game was all IUN as the RedHawks scored the next 10 points capped off by a three-pointer by Richardson. 
IUN grabbed their biggest lead of the night at 18 (71-53) with a layup by Watkins with 5:58 to play. The Wolves scored eight in a row the next two minutes to make it a 10-point game.
The RedHawks outscored the Wolves 9-4 the rest of the game. IUN would go on to win the game 79-64. 
The RedHawks had four players in double figures including Richardson, who recorded his third straight double-double with 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Gibson led the scoring for the RedHawks as the junior pitched in 22 points while grabbing seven rebounds. 
Watkins added 18 points on 7-13 shooting including 4-6 from three-point land. Robinson had another big game for the RedHawks as the freshman rounded out the RedHawk leaders with 17 points.
IUN returns to action Wednesday, January 22 as the RedHawks host Robert Morris at the Savannah Center opening tip-off is 7:30 p.m. CT.
